You say your son is 8 years old, why not ask him what hymn he would like you to sing, after all its him getting baptised!! I was christened in the Church of England as a baby, but was brought up a non-conformist, so I was baptised by my own choice at 18. The water wasnt too cold, the white dress was weighted down at the hem, but as Id forgotten a spare pair of knickers I was afraid of it floating up and giving the minister a thrill! fliss
