The Valley Folk Club ,Pontardawe is around 40 years old this year.The club is aiming to gather together and archive as much as possible of those last 40 years and would welcome all anecdotes / memories of visits to the club,people or places.
It is also gathering together any leaflets,articles,recordings etc which may be lurking in cupboards,boxes and attics.
Whilst concentrating on the 40 years of its own history ,the contribution to the folk music scene of clubs which preceded the Valley Folk Club such as the Swansea university FC and the Adelphi in Swansea as well as those contempoary to the VFC helped to determine the development of the Pontardawe Club and would therefore be of interest .
