I agree with Leadfingers and Don Meixner - there are plenty of good used guitars out there to be had for "a grand." Having written that, however, I'm very fond of my Breedlove and although it is a custom guitar, I've played several Atlas Breedlove's that are really nice for the price; but again, hunt you up a nice used one and as Don Meixner wrote - don't pay much attention to the cosmetic flaws.
