Eric was excellent last night...I'd urge people to catch him on this tour if they can. He has a wonderful catalogue of songs built up over four decades...He revisited many of the older ones from waaaaay back (Violets of Dawn, Blue River, Thirsty Boots) as well as more recent efforts (including co-writes with Townes Van Zandt and Lou Reed). He referred to Reed as one of the greatest living folk singers... It's amazing to think we'd just seen a concert by the same guy responsible for this odd bit of psychedelia recorded back in the Summer of Love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Nhmx2fFnFE&feature=related
