How soon is it closing? I guess before the next Seafest? I only went in at the Seafest weekend and on odd occaisions when calling at the ajoining sheltered scheme, but on the afternoons I did call in - not on festival week - it always seemed very popular with local workers calling there for lunch. I guess it can't have pulled the punters in on the evenings. It's a real shame when a pub of that age calls calls last orders for the final time. One of the best pubs for singing in, as the old ones always seem to be. Come to think of it. They can't get that many flats on the footprint of the Minerva, surely. As far as I know nobody's applied to knock our Sheltered scheme down next door. So what the hell are they doing? Anybody got any more info? Chalkie
