TCG have said the reason they are closing now... at the start of the summer season ... is because of work being done on the lock gates... a customer survey suggests this work will prevent a large proportion of customers getting there... the work will take several months... at the present time the intention is to re-open next easter. If permanent closure was intended they would presumably want to cut their losses...as they are keeping the lease and therefore paying rent we should maybe assume they are telling the truth.
