When I first started playing the fiddle I ended up in the hospital for three days with a case of "Fiddlers Neck" and was completely immobilized for two days. I thought I was coming down with meningitis when the pain first started. Most likely it was caused by way to much practice
and improper technique. My neck bothered me for months after the ordeal. The pain was centered in the back of the neck on the right side.

Now days I use a KUN support and try to use very little pressure on the fiddle with my chin. The support allows one to play the fiddle with the head not bent down so far.
