Kate awoke slowly, feeling the sun on her eyelids and sand grit under her fingernails. After a while the unfamiliar surroundings registered and she scrambled into a sitting position, frantically patting the beach around her until her hand came into contact with a damp cloth bag. She relaxed, as she brought the still-drying bag up over her shoulder. *The ship wreck, right, and i'm on an island somewhere. Well, at least my whistle-bag is still with me* As she slowly stood up she felt her head pound from sleeping in the bright tropical sunlight. After making a mental note to take her next siesta in the shade, she set out to find some food. The gentle breeze brought a mouth watering whiff of scent to her nose....something, somewhere, smelled very appetizing. Now if she could find an aspirin, she might even start enjoying this unexpected adventure.
