Saturday only: Got into the Dun Cow around 3,30pm for the last half hour of Davey's singaround; everyone in excellent voice, blazing sunshine without - we'd parked up at the Botanic Gardens & walked four miles into town via Houghall Woods! The only way to arrive in Durham... Stopped on for the ballads - touching base & putting faces to names (Sam & Ed!). Great sing at the Rowing Club on the evening - must have been - what? 40+ singers? And me the only person with an instrument! Off at 11.30 (after John's masterful Innocent Hare) for a three hour drive home, stopping off at Barnard Castle for pizza en route - which was so hot we didn't eat it until Kirkby Stephen with Bob Harris on the radio & all the lish young buy-a-brooms about their nocturnal business.

See you all next year, when we might even bring the tent!
