A couple more have come to my mind. One by Fred Small,
"The Heart of the Appaloosa" was about the Nez Perce people,
the horses that enabled them to travel through the
mountains, and the Cavalry Troops that cut them both down.

Another is by Lyle Lovett: "If I Had a Boat"

cho: If I had a boat, I'd go out on the ocean,
And if I had a pony, I'd ride him on my boat.
We could all .................................
Me upon my pony on my boat.

I'd better quit while I'm ahead, remembering 3 lines out of 4.

Happy trails.....

Marymac
