The opening chord series is up on the neck partial chords. The first G is an regular D position chord slid up to the 7th fret. The next chord is a D chord (index finger on the 6th string, 5th fret, next two strings fretted by middle and fourth fingers on the seventh fret). The next G chord is the top 4 notes of an F chord slid up two frets (not barred). Quick changing in this progression takes practice.
