Animaterra: My Bristol (UK)-based group does a song called "When the frost is on the pumpkin", written by a much-loved performer here called Fred Jordan, who passed away some years ago. It has a couple of regional English phrases which no doubt you would be able to re-write if you would like the song. Actually, it has an American connection too as Fred based his song on "When the frost is on the punkin" by the Hoosier poet James Whitcomb Riley. I would be most happy to send you a copy if you PM me with an address.
