Oldguit Jugular Vein (1960s trio, South London) (38) Jugular Vein 24 Sep 08

Hi all

My first post!!!

There was a trio of folkies doing the South London club scene back in the sixties "when I was doing a bit of plonking myself" They ere the Jugular Vein, vain or vane. they comprised Fred (Kettle) Evans, Dave Evans and I can't remember the Jug player's name. Fred played a kettle with a trumpet mouth piece up the spout, they were a good fun turn and I was sure they made an album, but then I thought I did as well! The JV played regularly at the Nags Head, Wandsworth Rd, run by Big Sue. Other venues The Nags Head, Clapham Common, Old Town, The Half Moon, Putney, etc

Has anyone else any memmories, knowledge? I'd be pleased to hear.

All the best

Oldguit
