The Captain Cook is right next to it. The Cod and Lobster is down in the old village, literally on the sea wall, so is a couple of minutes walk down and a bit slower coming back up. There is a less steep route you can take than the main drag up the high street - you go through all the little ginnels and feel as if you are walking through people's back yards, but it is a perfectly permitted route. If you first follow it from the car park down the hill, rather than trying to find it going up the hill, it will be better seen and followed, so you know for the return journey.
