I remember the Beers family very well when they came to Springfield, Missouri once to visit folksinger May Kennedy McCord. Bob Beers sister the late Janet Boyer taught me the song Bob sang called, "The Wee Herd's Whistle". She wrote the words off for me but I forgot the tune.
