Thanks for thinkin' about me, guys! I had decided to take a break from the 'cat, but not for so long. Life intervened, some good, some not so good: husband got home from long job away, my baby sister was ill and I spent a week with her, and now she's getting better, then I realised how far behind I was in Christmas orders, so have been locked in the studio trying to finish up. I have two left to finish, but they are at a reasonably advanced stage. And I'm currently 'renovating' feral number 2, who showed up a while back and looks to be a younger sibling of Snowball's, except this one is long haired fluffy tortie/tabby, about three-four months old, tiny, don't know sex. A friend has offered to take it if I could tame it a little. I've got it from the run off as soon as human appears stage to living in my cathouse (didn't know that about me, didjaz!), staring in through the patio doors all the time, eating regularly (may be overdoing that, critter's looking like a butterball, but oh so cute), taking food from my hand, liking petting, and just the last couple days, allows picking up and holding for a few minutes. Happy Solstice, to you all, and a Merry Christmas thereafter!
