I would try an Art & Lutherie (A&L) as an easy playing, inexpensive but good sounding guitar. I particularly like the solid cedar top, cherry ply side and back model, which plays very well with medium light strings. In fact I use mine as a specifically strung "Dropped D" model and that tuning matches the guitars natural "Hoo tone". Good Luck! _
