I hope you can help me! I love to know the history of why they write the song at the time they wrote it. I Sing often at church and I love giving a back ground on the music. This song was sung at a class mate of mine which died of Cancer and he requested for everyone to listen to the words of this song which they meant so much to him. It was wonderful the way the Quartet sang it. I remember at what we called a singing convention at the little Baptist churchs in Southeast Missouri. Now since I live in Pinckneyville Il.
