Well done Ian, somebody else remembers that song. It's rather good - as Sooz says it was on an album called Folk Nottingham Style which I have just found in a dusty corner!

The album may have been part funded by The Nottingham Festival which was a doomed attempt by Nottingham to do an Edinburgh. The song itself is credited to "Hemlock Stone" (a sandstone outcrop in Bramcote). Apparently Hemlock Stone were Richard and Diane Ball, Val Wheeler, and Michael Pidcot. No doubt they are still around - heads up anybody?
