mr.carl gray joyner passed away tuesday ,february 10th 2009, at the forsyth medical center in Winston-Salem,N.C..he was a self-taught fiddler who performed for many dignitaries, and was currenly playing at the V.F.W.Post in North Wilksboro,N.C..he received the National Heritage Fellowship Award for his accomplishments as a Master Musician in the Blue Ridge Mountain Area and had recorded on Rebel Records.His ancestors came from England in 1658.
