I saw an unplugged performance by Noel on some tv music prog some years back. I think Liam had had a hissy fit and done a bunk. The combo of Noels unaffected vocals with the absence of exessive retro style production, allowed the genuine natural intelligence and beauty of his songs to shine through. Apart from that one illuminating experience, I've always found Oasis thoroughly derivative and dull. Eh oh.
