McColl and Seeger had LPs for sale at the gig I went to in the seventies. I suspect Bully Wee did too, otherwise I don't know where I'd have picked them up from. Ditto a few other artists I can't call to mind at the moment - too much wine tonight. Whatever: yes, folk artists did tote LPs around with them to their gigs in the 70s.
