Thank you! Thank you! The verse does use the tune of "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General." Does it depart from this melody later in the verse, or just alter its timing? I wish I had good enough melody-memory to tell how much of one tune matches another without seeing them on paper.

I can't place the refrain (the "treehouse"/"told now" part) either. I don't think it's the "Can-Can" but it always reminds me of it. Could it be another Sullivan melody?
