The Champs will be appearing at The Goose Is Out at Hoopers this Friday
( 27th March )

Hoopers Bar
28 Ivanhoe Road
London SE5 8DH

8.30 PM / free !!

Yet another great Goose night at Hooper's Bar! Danny and the Champions supported The Handsome Family last year at the Half Moon, so if you were there you will know they are brilliant!

Those who have caught glimpses of the Champs tell tales of a musical freedom, bizarre face paints, occasional moving pictures and something they call a "yesness". What this may be is anybody's guess, but when asked to elaborate fans only shrug their shoulders and offer an enigmatic smile.

Some say they're the acoustic world's answer to the Black Mountain Army, while others claim that they invoke the spirit of the Grateful Dead. Mojo has described Danny as "A soulful songwriter who sings with immense, gentle strength."

Find out more about them from their website

and listen to some of their music at

http://www.myspace.com/dannyandthechampionsoftheworld1/

Danny and the Champions will be doing two sets with an interval between, and the live music will start at 9pm with DJs before and after. Come early for a good spot, and don't forget Hooper's do a great range of ales, plus food, so you can eat and drink well whilst listening to some brilliant music!.

This event is FREE!
