Hey, everyone!

This is just a shameless thread refresh, to let everybody know that there is still plenty of room in Danny Barnes' workshops next weekend (as well as his concert Saturday night!) Here are more details on his workshops (for concert info, see the post from 2/4/09). (There are also plenty of tickets left for the Laura Zaerr/Mick Doherty concert on 4/11, as well as their harp and hammered dulcimer workshops on the 12th.)

Banjo Basics
Danny Barnes
Sun., March 29, 12:15 - 2:15 p.m., $40 or $70 for both of this instructor's workshops.
Danny Barnes shares good tips and easy-to-grasp concepts on timing, getting the most out of TAB, and how to get a tone out of the banjo. Plus, the logic of the banjo neck, how to relate to an external rhythmic source (like a metronome or other players), and a question-answer period. For pure beginners to those with a couple years of playing. Bring a music stand if you have one; audio recording is encouraged (no video).

Neck Fluency on the Banjo
Danny Barnes
Sun., March 29, 2:45 - 4:45 p.m., $40 or $70 for both of this instructor's workshops.
Learn a special exercise that teaches you to play in all the keys on the banjo and expand your backup and melody playing. Also, explore how to get music out of single string scales and get answers to your music questions. For players with a couple of years of experience and a basic repertoire. Bring a music stand if you have one; audio recording is encouraged (no video).

For more general info on upcoming workshops, as always, visit www.dustystrings.com .

Cheers,

Molly
