Thanks Moorley Man & Cliff and yep I think you win the prize of most travelled! Thank you for making such and effort to come so far! Please come back soon. I have already answered Nick's point in my previous post. It will be one song each in future. It was my first time MCing a folk club, I am a performer myself and a shy one at that. So the MC thing is very new to me and does not come naturaly. People started to arrive at about 8pm and I made an effort to go round and find out what they did and where they were from (the people I didnt already know anyway). I started the night promptly at 8:30 as advertised and worked on an order of arrival as to order of play with a few tweeks to juggle the acapella singers up with the people with instruments. At the point at which we started 2 songs each was not a problem. There were a fair few latecomers so apologies I did not get to speak to you all before the night started and find out about what you do. I have been to many folk clubs and seen many ways in which they are run. Glyn from Burneston Folk Club very kindly gave me some help and advice before hand. I have been to many folk clubs where I have had to wait all night for a song because I was one of the last to turn up, I dont have a problem with it. I am sure the club will find its feet. At the end of the day I can't please eveyone.
