You can't beat the Irish-made Thermarest for sleeping on. They're quite expensive, but: They last forever. They can easily be blown up by mouth - they're mostly self inflating - no pump required. They insulate you from the ground beautifully and don't need anything over them. They take up very little room in your luggage. I bought mine 20 years ago originally to use for mountaineering - I've slept comfortably on glacier ice and scree. I've been to loads of festivals since and I'll never need anything else till I'm unable to get myself upright from floor level (hopefully a while yet) You can get cheaper rip-off versions of the Thermarest, but I don't know what they're like.
