Alas, the toilet/washroom block is now completely derelict, due to neglect and vandalism. In addition there are no suitable parking spaces adjacent to the field, either for campers' vehicles or for any mobile toilets/washrooms/water supply. All these issues have been discussed with the Council which owns the field, and the bottom line is that they simply won't allow camping on that site. Incidentally, my reference to the mud was a vain attempt at injecting a little humour into the proceedings, and a reference to the wide open spaces on the opposite side of the sea wall.

Please don't think we don't take the camping issue seriously - nothing would please me more than being able to offer a dedicated site close to Leigh Old Town. Does anyone out there have a 20 acre back garden?
