In reference to the query above re strikes. There was an unofficial strike in the 50s led by a group known as "The Reform Movement" if my memory serves me. Then in May of 1966 an official national strike was called by the N.U.S. By then many members of the Reform Movement were N.U.S. officials . I think it lasted about 8 weeks. By the way, fidget ,what in the name of God were you doing on standby on a Castle boat in the middle of a national strike ?. I can understand keeping fire watches to protect the ship, but on standby ?
