We used to be taught in school that you should wear light colored clothes when walking along a road at night. But light colored clothes aren't cool. Black is cool. I was stopped at an interseciont, waiting to make a left turn. The light turned green, and I turned. All of a sudden, there's this kid, all in black, directly in front of my car. I didn't hit him, fortunately I wasn't going very fast. He had the right of way, being a pedestrian, and I would have waited for him to cross if I had seen him. He started yelling at me and I could have explained the situation to him, but since he was a teenager, he was obviously smarter than anyone else on the planet, so I just drove on.
