Rabbi-Sol Borderline Picnic & Singing Party August 30 (NY) (28) Borderline Picnic & Singing Party 8/30 09 Jul 09

On Sunday August 30th between the hours of 12 Noon and 7 PM, The Borderline Folk Music Club will host its first annual Picnic, & Singing Party at the outdoor picnic area in the rear of the New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps Building located at 200 - Congers Road, New City (Rockland County), NY 10952.

Admission is free. Bring your lawn chairs, your instruments, your voices, and a pot luck lunch dish to share with 6 people. We will provide the soft drinks, paper goods, & plastic utensils. If you are too shy to play or sing you can request a song and one of the many performers who will be present will be more than happy to do it for you.

Being that Jean Ritchie & George Pickow have decided not to host their party this year, we at The Borderline have decided to continue this all important annual event and not let the tradition pass into oblivion.

This convenient location is less than an hour from Manhattan via the Palisades Parkway (Exit 11). For those coming by public transportation, the Coach USA Red & Tan Lines bus from Port Authority stops at our front door. There is plenty of free parking on premises and good clean rest room facilities. In the event of rain we will move the event indoors.

As an added bonus we will have a table set up where the musicians can display and sell their CDs.

For additional information e-mail to solz1@optonline.net or call me at (845)354-4586.
