Answer to the question who authored the Rosabella words. 'Twas me, Sean Laffey. This is the version I sang with Jerry Cobb of Jenkins' Ear in the early 1990s and gave to Jack Harrison for the Warp Four Recording in 1996. I also used it in a stage show, George and Stan the Last Windjammer Boys , the story of the Garthpool's last voyage, it had a jaunty twenties dance band feel to it. (80th anniversary of that voyage this year and Hull are doing nothing about it) I've lost the password to that web site, once I get it reactivated I'll add some links to this discussion here.
