The lovely thing about that scene in the film "Comfort and Joy",
was they had to record the tune over and over again for each ice-cream van. as they had no facilities to record multiple cassettes.
I've been there (not in the ice-cream trade). We must be thankful I suppose for some technological advances......

Has anyone come across a mobile fish-and-chip van with a jingle ?

Then there is the old joke about parents telling their children that the ice-cream-van music was a way of saying "Sorry - no ice-creams left"........
