My father, also a clinical psychologist, and mother were dear friends of Johnnie and Jeff. My father passed away in 1991 and I inherited #236. It hasn't been played in years since it is missing 2 tuning pegs. This instrument is beautiful yet simple in design. It is one of the main reasons I became a guitar player. One thing I have noticed about this particular dulcimer is the hearts appear to be upside down compared to pictures of other JW Jeffreys dulcimers. I am trying to find replacement tuning pegs so I may re-string her and play it again.
