Robert A White is a member of the New Scorpion Band, and this song is one of their most popular pieces. I presume he is the same person as the Robert Allan White mentioned above. The New Scorpion Band are well worth listening to, if you have not already encountered them. They have not (as yet) produced a CD of shanties or pirate songs. On their CD "Folksongs and Tunes from the British Isles" Dogger bank", or "Sailing over the Dogger Bank", is cerdited to the singing of Sam Larner.
