two replies: I have a song on tape by Shep Woolley which includes the line about the Black Cat Piddled in the White Cat's Eye. My grand-daughter thinks it hilarious. With regard to the Harry Lauder parody of "I Love A Lassie", when I was a small girl in the early 50s I used to be looked after by a lovely Cockney lady who often played her piano for me and taught me a lot of Cockney songs of the pub sing-song type, including this parody I love a sausage, A bonnie, bonnie sausage And I put it in the oven for my tea I went down the cellar To fetch my old umbrella And the sausage ran after me!
