I first had the pleasure of seeing Nick work way back in the early 80s with The Country Tones Roger Knowles and Dave Rowinski. His ability to sing those high tenor harmonies always amazed me. A great musician with a vast knowledge of music that he was always willing to share. In later years his use of alcohol became legendary. I lost touch with him over ten years ago when he left Leeds and I moved to Oxford.

To-days young musicians are poorer for not having Nick around.
