Thank you, maeve! Here's one I got (not via Mudcat) from Alan Eaton: We were singing aboard the USS Eagle, when it was docked for people to visit at the commercial pier in Portsmouth. I think it was summer 2007. As we stood on the main deck, we could see the sailors who were on watch below, through a ceiling window. Someone said "It's a shame they can't hear us, too." Barry walked over to one of the huge ventilation funnels and led the next shanty, while singing down into the funnel! I'm sure they heard that! He thinks Jeri might even have a picture...
