GUEST,Merideth Lyr Req: I Climbed the Mountain (Gasman/Friberg) (19) Origins: Info On 'Peace in The Valley' 26 Oct 09

I am looking for composer and lyricist info on a song that I first heard in the early '70's called "Peace in the Valley." The first few lines are:
I climbed the mountain I saw the other side.
And I can rest now for I am satisfied.
I saw a rich land where each man had his share.
I saw a free land with freedom everywhere.
The refrain is:
And there was peace in the valley,
there was hope in the land,
there was joy in the children,
there was love, beautiful love in the heart of Man.
