the last time I sang for a funeral I sang Malvina Reynolds' "From Way Up Here" It really depends on the person the funeral is about. I've sung "Solidarity Forever" for union activists - "I'll Fly Away" for a pilot - "Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream" for peace activists - "16 Tons" for a friend who never did get out of debt before he died. Of course, this depends on where you are singing. Some churches, temples, etc. are more lenient than others. Some only want you to sing from their official hymn books. I like to hear something that is really about the person being celebrated and mourned. Peace in song, Joyce
