Do songs run in cycles? Way back there was a whole canon of songs like "Freeborn Man", "Black Velvet Band", "Home, Boys Home" etc that seemed done to death. In reality I don't remember hearing many of them for at least a generation in the clubs. Hopefully there will be a whole new generation coming along to find these songs for themselves for although they may seem old and hackneyed to us over fifties they're still cracking songs. Steve
