Rabbi-Sol Belles Duo at The Borderline March 7th (3) Belles Duo at The Borderline March 7th 10 Feb 10

On Sunday afternoon, March 7th The Borderline will present Mara Levine and Caroline Cutroneo who perform as THE BELLES DUO. They are known for their sweet vocal harmonies that mesemerize audiences. They will be backed up by 2 very great musicians in their own right, Bill Doerge on upright bass & 12 string guitar and Bob Wright on banjo & 6 string guitar. These 4 excellent musicians bring an entirely new dimension to acoustic folk music. Their repertoire covers traditonal songs as well as those of contemporary greats such as Tom Paxton, Si Kahn, Townes Van Zandt, Eric Bogle, Pat Wictor, and Bob Franke. The group is based out of Staten Island and New Jersey. They have recently appeared on WFDU's "Traditions" program with Ron Olesko & Bill Hahn and on the Ithaca, NY folk program "Bound For Glory". This will be their first performance in Rockland County.

The concert begins at 2 PM and will take place at the New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps building located at 200 - Congers Road in New City, NY 10956. Admission is $20 per person ($15 for Borderline or Pinewoods members), and we ask that you bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 other people.

Advance reservations are required and can be made by e-mail at solz1@optonline.net or by telephone at (845) 354-4586. There is plenty of FREE in site parking and for those coming by public transportation from NYC the bus from Port Authority stops right at our front door.
