Anyone know enough about this stuff to answer a question? I track my three websites with google analytics so I can see where the hits I get are coming from. I only get a daily tracking report.

This morning I had about 100 hits -- with a strange bunch coming from Indiana. When that happens, it used to happen when these two things occurred at the same time:

1. I was working on a post that required that I visit the blog several times in a day, and...

2. when my IP address # had been changed without my knowing it, making it so that the filter that filtered my own hits out didn't work.

Not this time.

This time it was about 15 hits that all registered 0 minutes average visit. In other words, they weren't really visits. So I'm assuming that they have to do with one of the other actual visits being somehow tied by IP number to a bunch of other locations?

Any explanation?
