Chris Green Belshazzar's Feast Coventry 13th May (4) Belshazzar's Feast Coventry 13th May 04 May 10

Hi all

Just a quick note to let you know that this month's Maudslay Thursday guests are the highly talented Belshazzar's Feast. Paul Hutchinson (accordion) and Paul Sartin (oboe, violin, whistle and vocals) bring their unique blend of traditional folk music and quick-fire humour to our stage on Thursday 13th May.

After extensive airplay on BBC Radio 2, they were nominated for Best Duo at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. As well as touring clubs and festivals throughout the UK and USA , Belshazzar's Feast specialise in interpreting English traditional and historical dance tunes, albeit in an unorthodox manner which has been known to ruffle feathers among the purists.

However, we're confident that after the first few tunes from this pair, you'll see the writing on the wall……geddit?! Ahem, anyway…..

…Tickets for the concert cost £10 each in advance and £11 on the door and can be booked in various ways:

Hope to see you there for fun and frolics (and other Cockney rhyming slang...)

Chris
