When I first moved to Chicago some friends talked me into going to hear some guy play blues in some church basement in Evanston (contiguous suburb). yes, it was Howlin' Wolf I'be been a fan of Chicago Blues ever since. Had trouble with the white boy stuff.sometimes it sounds like a parody. and Art, I remember the one-handed pianist at Quiet Knight, where I was given to understand he was the janitor. Complete aside.
