August Bank Holiday sounds good we may even have some left-over weather. This ehas such a fantastic outdoor area with plenty of seats and a beatiful river running through it - I wouldn't worry about it clashing with events further afield as I'm not sure if they would have any impact on it! I can certainly drum up lots of support from Blackheath, Greenwich & Folkmob!
