Black Is The Colour (Of My True Love's Eye) by Amergin

Amergin's Comments: ok...seeing the title of the Black Is The Colour thread...well it stuck in my mind....and so early this morning...I just wrote this parody....

Black is the colour of my true love's eye.
Dark are the bruises upon his thigh,
His lips are bloody, his nose is smashed,
From that black night I kicked his ass.

I met my love just outside the bar
We talked for hours neath the moon and stars
We spoke of love in the days to come,
And then he asked if we could be as one.

My heart did flutter and like a fool
I said yes I would wish that too,
Wrote my folks a letter just a few short lines
Telling to them it was real this time.

That next night as I walked by the shore,
I saw him there with a two dollar whore,
I watched as he softly kissed this girl
His hands caressing her soft blonde curls.

My heart did break and I began to moan
I started to yell I started to groan.
I rushed upon him and he fell down
And my screams were heard all over town.

Black is the colour of my true love's eye.
Dark are the bruises upon his thigh,
His lips are bloody, his nose is smashed,
From that black night I kicked his ass.
