I was asked one time to go And hold a one man show I went knowing I was not that good When the time came I was scared Then Hank William's ghost appeared And walked across the stage to where I stood.
He said "I'll sing along with you In ev'ry song of mine you do And no one but yourself knows that I'm here" And then we sang "You Win Again" And "I'm Sorry For You My Friend" Our voices rang as one so loud and clear.
[SPOKEN] I didn't have to turn my head To hear the next words Hank said "Let's sing together" - "The First Fall Of Snow" [SUNG] And we sang it just as sad As on the record of him I had Then he touched my arm and said he had to go.
Then the people stood and cheered As Hank's spirit disappeared That night will live with me for evermore.
