I'm not familiar with Andrew King, so thanks for the tip - I shall check him out. I can't listen from work, but a couple of sources I trust seem to sing his praises so I'm intrigued.

I don't want to over-state the experimental edge of Alasdair's recent output - he is now, superficially, a traditional musician, but anyone with a knowledge of his past, an ear for the crystalline attack of his guitar work (which betrays a post-rock edge) or the time to contemplate his lyrical craft should recognise a thouroughly modern practitioner.
