Laundry is almost done; the last load is washing now. Looking around the basement, I noticed that it is TOTALLY DRY all around the edges, even after the rain we had the last two days. It's because I had the drain cleaned out this summer. Somebody (the plumber) finally explained to me that I have a French drain around the edges of my 1920's basement, and how it worked. Who knew??? It being dry now, will make the house feel warmer this winter, I hope.
